Magnetically-actuated valves.-The position of a rotary valve adapted to control communication between two pipes K, K<1> may be adjusted independently of the weighted valve-operating lever e<1>, which is normally held out of action by the engagement of an arm e<3> thereon with a shutter g<3> on an arm G<3> normally held raised by an electromagnet G<1>. The lever e<1> is provided with an upward extension e<1x> which engages with an arm e<x> on the valve spindle by means of a screw adjustment e<xx>, so that the initial position of the arm e<x> may be varied independently of that of the arm e<1x>.
