Abstract

242,221. Sachsenwerk Licht - und Kraft-Akt.-Ges. Oct. 31, 1924, [Convention date]. Addition to 231,895. Alternating-current commutator machines; coils and conductors.-In open coil compensating commutator windings of the kind described in the parent Specification, each winding element consists of a single bar s connected on one side of the rotor iron to a shortcircuiting ring o and on the other side to a commutator segment L. The bars may be placed in the slots above the primary conductors of the machine, as shown, so as to act as slot-closing members and the commutating winding may be so formed that the number of segments is a multiple of the number of rotor slots. Fig. 3 shows a form having twice as many segmeans as slots, the additional commutating winding bars being placed in the intervening teeth. Equalizing connections may be provided in the commutating winding in known manner. Specification 233,657 is referred to.
