Sliver conductors. - A slow-motion traversing mechanism for the sliver conductors arranged before the delivery and pressing rollers of drawing frames for textile fibres such as flax and jute comprises an eccentric A mounted on a first motion shaft, such as the delivery roller shaft C, and a planetary pinion B, which is anchored by a link D, so that it is restrained from rotation and moves bodily, and gears with an internal wheel E which operates an eccentric or cam F connected to any convenient form of traverse motion through reduction gearing. The strap G of the eccentric F operates worm-gearing M, N and a crank.
