Abstract

263,523. Paget, F., and Horseman, S. H. Sept. 23, 1925. Tension and supporting arrangements; toothed gearing. - The eccentric hub b of an adjustable stud a for supporting chain or toothed gear wheels so that the meshing or chain tension may be regulated, is formed with an end end flange f and is secured in a tubular boss g on the framework, for instance, of a wringing or mangling machine, by a pin h passing diametrically through the hub b and bearing against one end of the boss g to draw the flange f into a recess in the other side of the framework. As shown, the pin h is slightly tapered and engages notches k in the boss g. The Provisional Specification describes an arrangement in which the pin presses through slots or openings in the boss.
