Abstract

351,100. Combined drawing and twisting apparatus. DEAN, S., Highfield, Staincliffe, Dewsbury, Yorkshire. March 27, 1930, No. 9731. [Class 120 (ii).] In combined drawing and twisting apparatus for drawing, roving, spinning twisting, and doubling machines, of the kind comprising draft rollers carried by a rotary driven member and gearing with a coaxial independently driven member, the rollers C are mounted in co-operating driven cup-shaped members A, F and at opposite ends gear with a driven wheel D. Springs c serve to press the rollers towards each other and to act as scrapers, and the material is protected from oil by flanges d<4>, f on the wheel D and member F.
