Abstract
240,343. Thomas, P. C. Jan. 7, 1925. Kennels for dogs are provided with a pivoted floor interconnected with the kennel closure and a ventilator, so that the weight of the animal effects the opening and closing of the door and ventilator. The floor 2 is mounted to rock on a fulcrum 4 and is connected by cords, or, as shown, by a rod 10 to one end of a lever 8 the other end of which is connected to a sliding block 11 to which are fixed levers 13. These in turn are connected to levers 14 having pin and slot connections with the sliding doors 5<a>. One lever 13 also actuates a projection 13<a> on the hinged roof portion a to open it as the door is closed.
