Locking nuts. - In a self-locking nut and bolt, the sides of the screwthreads have an unequal inclination relative to the axis of the bolt, the bearing pressure being taken on the longer and more acutely inclined face. The bearing face C of the nut may be slightly convex, and a resilient washer D may be interposed between the nut and the bolt.
