Fluid-speed indicators.-In a speed indicator of the fluid-drag type in which the spindle 4 carrying the pointer 5 has a flyer 3 surrounded by a drum 2 on the driven shaft 1, the drum is provided with ribs 7, 8 which are machined to give the desired range of readings with the use of a standard restraining spring 6. Different drums or flyers are used for different indicating ranges.
