Indicators, speed.-A speedometer is provided with means indicating the relative magnitude of the braking distance corresponding to the values indicated. In one form the scale on a speedometer has associated with it another scale giving the value of the braking distance at the various speeds. In another form, an inclinometer is provided with a second scale which gives the percentage change in the braking distance for the vehicle on gradients referred to the braking distance on the lavel. The scale divisions for the braking distance may be borne by arms or surfaces individually adjustable and locked. In a further form, the braking distance scale on the speedometer is made rotatable and is operated from the inclinometer through gearing of suitable transmission ratio. The inclinometer may be furnished with a moving scale of braking distance connected to the speedometer.
