Abstract
367,160. Road - traffic signals on vehicles. MAGUIRE, J. T., 7, Academy Street, Warrington, Lancashire. March 14, 1931, No. 3773. [Class 118 (ii).] A pivoted direction-signalling pointer 1 located above the roof 14 of a road vehicle is made of closely perforated material and lined with translucent material. It contains lamps 6a, 8a and is turned by a handle 15, a tell-tale hand 19 being provided on the spindle 12 opposite the driver. In a modification the spindle 12 drives the pointer spindle through bevel gearing and a shaft passing through the doorpost. A Bowden cable may be used for operating the pointer, and a pair of pointers may be actuated through a worm-wheel and shaft.
