Reel and non-endless web apparatus.-The rollers carrying the display blind of a vehicle route indicator are rotated in one direction or the other bv a movable toothed wheel F mounted on a pivoted arm E so as to be swung into engagement with one or the other of gear wheels D on the rollers. A spring depressed catch engages notches K in a plate L to lock the arm E in position. Intermediate pinions may be introduced between the wheel F and wheels D. and the wheel F may be rotated by a handle either directly or through gearing. Leather &c. brake washers may be fitted to the rollers.
