Abstract

238,414. Pickard, W. Oct. 25, 1924. Separators. - In spray carburettors supplied with steam in addition to the usual fuel and air, the last traces of water are removed from the steam by a separa tor l communicating with the carburettor and provided with gauzes m, n, o and with a drain orifice p. The steam is admitted by a pipe and passes through the gauzes m, n, any water draining on to the gauze o and being ejected by the pressure of the steam. The gauze m may be omitted, all the steam then passing through the gauze n.
