The plug f has a metal cover j secured over the hand shield portion, and in electrical connection with this cover is a spring tongue k adapted to make contact with the edge of the socket cover or plate before the plugs g connect with the sockets b. A binding screw k<1> may be used to connect the earth lead of a three-core flexible cable.
