Abstract

237,062. Pallett, J. June 11, 1924. Plug cocks; connecting to vessels.-A tap for jars, oil drums, &c. is secured in place by means of a screwed nozzle 2 on the vessel 1 and a screwed flanged cap 3. The flange clamps a collar 6 on the tap against the end of the nozzle 2, washers 11, 12 being interposed on each side of the collar to form a tight joint. The cork liner 9 in the head of the tap is internally tapered for the easy removable insertion of the plug 10 of the tap. The tap and cap 3 may be made of earthenware, glass, or vulcanite.
