Spouts. - A reversible discharge spout a for a petrol can &c. is secured in place, both in its upright position and in its inverted position, by a ring nut b internally threaded at b<4> to engage the mouth - piece and externally threaded at b<5> to receive the usual cap e. A washer d engaging a flange a<1> ensures tightness of the joint. The spout is provided with one or more air vents a<2> so positioned that splashing during pouring is prevented by the nut b. A gauze filter may be placed at any position along the spout.
