Abstract

361,110. Teapot &c. spouts. COLLINS, W., 69, Gillett Road, Thornton Heath, Surrey. March 4, 1931, No. 34536/30. [Class 66.] The straight spout of a teapot, kettle, or like pouring vessel is formed or provided with an annular dripcollecting gutter or channel 3 having an orifice 4 for returning the drips to the vessel and provided with a lip 8 to prevent the collected liquid from overflowing when the vessel is tilted. The spout may be integral or may be attached by a connecting- piece. Fig. 6 shows a detachable spout suitable for an oil drum &c. provided with a bung or cork 6 and a filter gauze 7. Specifications 9797/94 and 10176/01, [both in Class 128, Table articles &c.], are referred to.
