626,555. Strainers. LEVY, L. May 20, 1947, No. 13553. [Class 46] A strainer 1 is provided with a channel or spout 2, opening into the body of the strainer, and being sufficiently wide and long to collect liquid leaking over the side of a vessel 3 from which liquid is poured into the strainer. The channel 2 is preferably sloping, may be made wide enough to collect the liquid when the leak is subject to lateral shifting, and may be integral with, or rigidly secured to, the strainer body. The edges 5 may be inclined to, or lie in the same plane as, the upper surface of the strainer body, or they may be dispensed with.
