Regenerators.-The air for combustion in a furnace A is heated in pipes P connected to transverse tubular headers L, M, Q, R and arranged in a flue E beneath the heating-chamber C. The air is forced or induced through the pipes J, K to the headers L, M and passes from the headers Q, D through pipes S, U to the ash-pit.
