Cauldrons.-A vehicular apparatus for heating tar in casks comprises a box-like oven 2 having a dooor 3 at each end and longitudinal rails 4 forming a bed for the casks 8. Extending beneath the rails is a flue 6 leading from a furnace 5 to a chimney 10, and located between the flue and the rails is a layer of firebrick 7 and a tar drip-pan 9.
