Abstract

236,864. Voith, W. March 31, 1925. Fourdrinier paper machines; pulp, regulating flow and consistency of.-In means for feeding or supplying stuff to paper machines, such as is described in Specification 229,590, the, bottom 1<a> of the feed box is in substantially the same plane as the screen 2 and an under lip or bridge 4a extends from the box to the screen. The rotary distributor 8 is of large diameter, not less than one quarter of the maximum working head of stuff, and a vane or guide 9<a> pivoted at 9<b> is provided to divide the flow of stuff to the distributor. The vane may be turned down to close the supply to the lower portion of the distributor. The end wall or plate 7 of the feed box is inclined at an angle to the bottom of the feed tank to provide a flow of stuff converging towards the delivery or outlet from the tank.
