Liquid fuel, supplying.- Liquid fuel supply apparatus comprises a conduit system d, e, f between the engine and the fuel tank a, including one or more air breads or spaces arranged in a vessel or enlargements b, c in the system, through which vessel fuel is drawn by the engine suction, and in which reserves of fuel are formed and maintained while the engine is running and while it is stopped. The pipes d, e may have non-return valves d<1>, e<1>. If the fuel tank a is above the level of the engine intake, means are provided to prevent siphonic action. A fuel control cock or a variable fuel resistance may be inserted in the system at one or more points, and means may be provided to compensate for variations in drag in the system occasioned by the vehicle travelling up or down hill. The apparatus may be used also to provide a lubricant feed or a water spray feed for the engine.
