Abstract

235,433. British-American Laundry Machinery Co., Ltd., (American Laundry Machinery Co.). Sept. 8, 1924. Rotary containers.-Laundry-drying apparatus comprises a series of perforated clothes-containers 8 having threads 28 adapted to engage with the threads of two rotary worms 30 by which the containers are rotated and conveyed through the drying-chamber. The pitches of the threads and the speed of rotation of the worms are such that the containers are rotated rapidly and conveyed slowly through the chamber. The chamber is provided with a steam heating coil 14 and air is admitted into and exhausted from the chamber through openings 10, 12.
