Abstract

235,191. Neue Gluhlampen Ges., (Assignees of Berger, W.). June 3, 1924, [Convention date]. Multiple-filament lamps; caps; leading-in wires.-In bulbs of the kind wherein a number of central contacts e, f connected to the several filaments are adapted to be brought into use successively, the insulation g between them is arranged so that it can only be removed after the leading-in wire d to the discarded filament has been broken. This wire passes through apertures in the inner contact and in the insulating-disc g, and is soldered to the outer contact. The part of the leading-in wire d within the cap is enclosed in a glass tube k to prevent it from contacting with the leading-in wire c connected to the other filament. The contacts are attached to pins e<1>, f<1> by which they are secured in the insulation h of the cap. In the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) a bulb is described wherein the several filaments comprise different lengths of a single wire. This form does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
