Abstract

Door bodies and panels; frames.-A door and frame adapted to be fixed in position as a whole comprises the door a, the jambs or frame e, and une fixed and one loose set of architraves f. The body consists of boards having a tongue-andgroove or like joint secured by means of bolts, rods, &c., b, the ends of which may be covered by wooden plugs &c. The rods may have nuts, or may act as stiffeners only, when the joints can be relied on, or they may have ends which are split or opened by wedge-shaped tools to form tangs penetrating the wood. The jambs are joined at the corners by metal clamps m, Fig. 2, engaging saw cuts in the mitred frame members.
