Abstract

229,079. Norman, F. G. Feb. 4, 1924. Panels and panelled work.-Glass or other panels 12 of doors &c. are secured in rebated frames 10 by means of beads 16, forced into slots 14. One wall of the slot 14 is made resilient by cutting a second slot 13 adjacent thereto. The rails &c. 19 have projections engaging the slots 13, 14 and the projecting edge 11 of the rebate is chamfered and engaged in an undercut recess 18 in the stile. The meeting edges of the beads may be mitred; or corner-pieces may be fixed in the slots 14 to engage the ends of the beads.
