Abstract

418,038. Sliding-doors. PARIS, H. J., Oak Lodge, Old Shoreham Road, Hove, Sussex. July 25, 1933, No. 20909. [Class 20 (iii).] A sliding door for a dwelling house or other building comprises a door and a frame having a cavity formed on one side and a grooved post on the opposite side which the door engages when closed. The cavity 1 is formed by a pair of panels 8, 9, a slot for the door being formed between two posts 2, 2a. The door is supported by ball bearings 11<a> and guided at its upper edge by a hard wood fillet 13 engaging a grooved lintel 4.
