Abstract

233,168. Bunn, C. W. June 10, 1924. Hoods.-In vehicle hoods of the kind comprising a vertical pillar, a main cant-rail and front extension thereof connected together by inclined links pivoted thereto and to each other, and a locking link pivoted to the vertical pillar and to the nearer inclined link, the locking link 9 is provided with a rearward extension 10, preferably shaped as shown, which is pivoted to a stay 11 pivoted to the usual attachment plate 2 of the vehicle body. Abutment stops 12, 13 on the inclined link 6 and the vertical pillar respectively position the hood members in the collapsed position, the stop 13 also serving to position the vertical pillar when the hood is extended. A pivoted link 14 is adapted to co-operate with a stud 17 to clamp the members in the collapsed position.
