Abstract

236,792. Rees, F. J. Oct. 31, 1924. Fastenings.-A fastening device more particularly for securing together parts of folding hoods for vehicles or for securing the hood to a fixed part of the vehicle comprises a lever D the end H of which engages a recess G on one part F, the lever D being pivoted to a frame C pivoted on the other part D so that the lever and frame lie in approximately a straight line when secured, and the part A has a projection L engaging a recess K in the part F to prevent the members moving laterally during locking. In a modification the meeting faces may be inclined and the projection and recess formed perpendicularly to them.
