Casings-The two-part nozzle diaphragms 3 of a turbine are formed, preferably integrally, with axial funnel-shaped extensions 5 widening in the direction of flow of the steam or gas which are fitted steam-tight in the casing 6. The. fluid has access to spaces 7 between the annular extensions 5 and serves to press the halves of the diaphragms into tight contact. The spaces 7 are large enough to accommodate bolt flanges 9. A thickened rim 8 on the extension 5 may fit in a groove in the turbine casing.
