Abstract

228,576. Akt.-Ges. der Maschinenfabriken Escher, Wyss, et Cie. Feb. 2, 1924, [Convention date]. Casings.-At least one nozzle diaphragm of a turbine is provided with radial clearance 10 in the casing and is pressed against a stop 12 by a steam-tight resilient ring 8 which permits expansion of the diaphagm. The ring may be V-shaped and bear on a corresponding inclined surface 9 on the diaphragm. The resilient ring 8 may carry intermediate guide-blades 11.
