Epicyclic gearing.-The cam drum 9 of a radial internal-combustion engine is driven by epicyclic gearing comprising internal and external teeth 6, 7 formed on a drum carried by an eccentric 5 keyed to the crank shaft, the teeth 7 engaging internal teeth on the cam drum 9, and the teeth 6 engaging a toothed ring 4 fixed to the crank case. The cam drum 9 is mounted loosely on ball and roller bearings 10, 11 on the crank shaft, and the toothed drum 6, 7 is carried on the eccentric by a ball bearing 8.
