Abstract

230,669. Campbell, H. A. May 21, 1924. Volume apparatus for liquids. - A hopper C, for supplying batter to waffle moulds, is provided with a measuring-space. 91 closed by a valve 75 on a vertically movable rod 76 on which a sleeve 77 is slidable, the sleeve carrying a plunger 73 and a spring-loaded, non-return valve 74. A spring 83 on the lever 60 carrier a latchlever 88 which is pressed by a spring 87 into engagement with a collar 86 on the rod 76 whereby depression of the lever 60 opens the valve 75, and by engagement with a forked head 79, adjustably screwed to the sleeve 77, depresses the plunger 73 and valve 74 to eject the batter. An adjustable finger 89 on the lever 60 releases the latch 88, a spring 90 closes the valve .and the lever 60 and plunger 73 are raised by hand or by a spring 82. The capacity of the chamber 91 is adjusted by screwing the sleeve into, or out of the head 79.
