Abstract

A storm water guard has a frame to be secured to the interior or exterior of a property, and one or more panels to be inserted into the frame; gasket seals ensure a watertight barrier.

Description

STORM WATER. MUD AND SLUDGE GUARD 1 The invention relates to storm water, mud and sludge guard, to be fixed outside or inside properties to stop storm damage.
2 The main part of the frame to be of reinforced U.P.V.C channel with rubber gaskets moulded externally and internally and screwed to brickwork, so that the screws compress rubber seal and form a watertight seal. Once in place a silicone joint is added to further seal frame.
3 Once frame is fixed and sealed, U.P.v.C panels are installed from top and pushed to bottom to form watertight barrier. Extra panels can then be added to suit conditions.
4 The main frame can be a permanent fixture and when panels are not needed clip on covers can be used to protect rubber gaskets.

Claims (4)

Claims
1) A storm water guard, comprising a frame and one or more panels, said frame comprising channelled base and side sections and seals and arranged so as to be secured to the interior or exterior of a property such that said one or more panels may be removably fitted into said frame by locating them in said channels so as to form a watertight barrier.
2) A storm water guard as claimed in claim 1, in which said panels are arranged to fit together along their edges and said edges are provided with seals.
3) A storm water guard as claimed in claim 1 or 2, in which said frame and panel or panels are formed of UPVC.
4) A storm water guard substantially as herein described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
