Abstract

A flood protection system comprising a fixed U-shaped frame 2 permanently attached to a building into which removable boards 1 can be located for flood protection. The removable boards 1 may have flexible seal 10 along there lower edge and ends. A flexible seal may also be provided within the channel 2 to provide a waterproof seal to boards. To hold the boards securely in place, shores 8 and wedges 9 may be used. The protection system may also be used for ventilators or vents, in which case the flexible seal may be held watertight by external pressure on bolts or screws.
