Capsules and like closures. - A sealing means for receptacles such as cans, which have non-circular pouring orifices, comprises a cir. cular or other plate d, Fig. 3, surround ing the pouring orifice b, the plate being integral with or fixed to the neck of the can, and provided with a downturned rim e, a second plate f, Fig. 1, adapted to cover the orifice b and to conform to the top of the rim e, and a ring g spun, clipped, &c. over the upper and lower edges of the rim e, the ring being such that, once removed, it cannot be replaced. In another form, a frame or band shaped to conform to the orifice b replaces the plate d.
