Abstract

228,663. Fox, T., and Robinson, S. Nov. 30, 1923. Gas-meters.-In a wet gas-meter having its internal mechanism enclosed in a single compartment, the vent pipe 8 from the water reservoir 1 dips into a small chamber 12 which communicates with a depending portion 6 of the water reservoir through a small aperture 13 and with the main water space through a small aperture 14. The water level around the vent pipe is thereby prevented from being subjected to the periodical fluctuations in level in the main water space. The meter is fitted with the usual floatcontrolled gas inlet valve 3 and with an overflow reservoir 9 having an inlet pipe 11 and draw-off plug 10.
