Abstract

228,648. Humpage, A. J. Nov. 13, 1923. L i n ear - dimension gauges.-One of the legs 1, 2 of a calliper gauge, compass &c. has an extension 4 which is bent over and pressed against the back of the other leg so as to apply a frictional resistance to movement. The friction may be increased by hammering when desired. One leg may have a pin 7 engaging a slot 6 in the other leg concentric with the pivot pin 3. A locking nut 12 may be arranged to bind against a spring washer 9.
