Abstract

227,795. Sereville, L. de. Jan. 14, 1924, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Circular machines with latch needles and webholders are caused to knit pile fabrics by the use of the cams shown. The needles rise at each feed to take the ground yarn 18, which may be of inferior quality, and are depressed at 1<c>, but not sufficient to cast off the old loop, the webholders being withdrawn as at 2a. The needles rise again at 1<d> and are depressed at 1<e> to take the pile thread 21, which is fed over the tops of the web holder ribs as shown at 2<c>. The two loops are cast off together at the next feed. By employing long and short butted web-holders 2, Figs. 5 and 6, and a stepped cam 13 the pile effects may be interrupted at intervals.
