226,465. Scharfenberg, K. May 14. 1924, [Convention date]. Couplings, automatic.-A central buffer coupling having a rotating disc hook and a coupling link pivoted thereto is characterized in that the length of the rear tongue b of the hook a is made of such short dimensions that when the hook is turned forwards, shown in dotted line, beyond the position necessary to introduce the coupling link d<1> of the opposed coupling member, the space between the tongue b and the wall of the casing is sufficient to allow the coupling link to pass through, whereby the hook is prevented from rotating into the ready for coupling position, and uncoupling can occur on reparation of the vehicles
