Abstract
224,542. British Thomson-Houston Co., Ltd., (Assignees of Baker, W. R. G.). Nov. 6,1923, [Convention date]. Wired wireless systems. - High-frequency signalling currents are transmitted to and received from the overhead conductors of power-transmission lines 1 - - 6 by means of a coupling wire 9 located centrally with respect to the space enclosed by the power lines. The coupling conductor 9 is earthed through a transformer 13 by which it is coupled to a high-frequency transmitter or receiver 12. The arrangement reduces free radiation from the wire 9, and ,also substantially neutralizes the induction effect of the power currents on the wire 9 in the case of three-phase distribution systems.
