Mounting shades and reflectors directly on rods or tubes.-A metal or other shades or reflector is rotatably supported on an electric lamp socket by means of a supporting-member A consisting of a tubular portion and a dome-shaped cover 2. A radial slot 2<b> in the cover 2, and slots 3, 4 in the tubular portion of the shade, allow the lamp cord to pass into an opening 2<a> in the cover 2, when pressing the shade upon the lamp socket. Upon rotating the shade into the desired position the turn plug enters one of the transverse slots 5 leading out from. the slot 3. The tubular portion of the supporting member A is preferably formed by bending a sheet-metal blank, and it is secured to the cover 2 and to the shade 1 as by means of soldering.
