Abstract

223,041. Emmett, P. A., and Smith, W. J. Oct. 5, 1923. Drip-retaining devices.-In a combined stopper and pourer for bottles &c. and comprising a stopper A to the underside of which is secured a tube B provided at one end with discharge openings C and at the other end with a packing D which make fluidtight contact with the bottle neck when the stopper is withdrawn to pouring posiion, the tube B is of less diameter than the mouth of the bottle to permit any overflow from the openings C to be retained and returned to the bottle when it is re-closed.
