Abstract

Moving-chamber apparatus. -Comprises a measuring cock having a single measuring chamber a provided with vent pipes c<5> at different heights to communicate one at a time with the vent tube h of the taper plug d combined with means for changing the wording position of the plug d within the sleeve c to meet the particular measure. The cylindrical chamber a is built around the sleeve c which is provided with a taper bore to receive rotatably the plug d secured therein by screw devices (not shown). Two gates C<6> are provided in the sleeve c for a stop peg i to work in, the gate in use determining which measure is to be delivered. A single inlet e and a single outlet f are provided in the plug which is also provided with a vent hole g communicating with the vent tube h. Two transverse inlet holes c<3> and two transverse outlet holes c<4> are provided in the sleeve c. An atmospheric vent o on the outer surface of the plug communicates with one or other of the vent holes C<5> 'while the chamber a is emptying.
