Abstract

222,623. Allbin, S. E. Aug. 15, 1923. Hooks, slip.-The hook engaging the ring on the lower fall block of a boat-releasing gear is pivoted at 36 to a channel-section member 27 screwed to a transom 12. The lower end of the channel member is enclosed and serves as a guide for a pin 42 which normally engages the tail 37 of the hook. The hooks at stem and stern are simultaneously released by swinging a lever 22 mounted on a fore-and-aft shaft 15 working in bearings 17, the shaft being provided with cranked ends 24 linked to the pin 42 by the rod 47. The hook is provided with a housing-lever (not shown) held in position by a removable pin.
