[Class 115] To relieve the falls 9 of the weight of the boat prior to lowering, a chain 10 is secured to the davit head and is detachably secured to an eye or hook 12 on the top of the lower pulley block 8 by means of the slip hook 11 which may be manually released irrespective of tension in the falls.
