181,773. Welin, A. Feb. 17, 1921. Davits; boat-lowering gear.-With a view to swinging a pair of nested boats I, I<1> outward simultaneously, luffing davits A are each provided with two eyes E, E<1>. The outer boat I, which is first lowered after the luffing-operation has been completed, is suspended by the tackle G rove round the blocks F, H. The inner boat is controlled by the rope G<1> and the blocks F<1>, H<1> these blocks being locked together by means of a hook or the like until the lowering of the outer boat has been completed.
