Magnetic instruments.-A diaphragm having warped members as described in Specification 11015/09, is provided with a peripheral circular supporting frame R<1> connected, preferably by radial arms g, to a casing f containing an electromagnetic receiver. The transformation of vibrations takes place through a point k resting on the vibrating element, such as a diaphragm e, and the latter can be displaced so that the point may rest on the most suitable spot. The whole of the electromagnetic receiver may be movable within the casing. There may be a number of points of contact with the diaphragm e or other vibrating member to convey vibrations, and these are preferably disposed in a line or with equal spacing.
