322,177. Columbia Graphophone Co., Ltd., Forse, W. T., and Mitchell, F. A. July 23, 1928. Divided on 320,873. Loud-speakers; magnetic instruments; diaphragms.-A sound-reproducing device comprises a diaphragm D operated electromagnetically and an acoustic amplifying chamber H on one wall of which the diaphragm is mounted so as to project sound on to a reflecting surface arranged within or forming one wall R of the chamber. The small end O of the chamber H is left open to prevent resonance and the reflector R is preferably at 45‹ to the axis of the cone. The acoustic chamber and reflector may assume other shapes. The centering means for the moving coil and its relation to the cone are as described in Specification 320,873. Specifications 300,679, and 321,644, [both in Class 40 (v), Wireless signalling &c.], also are. referred to.
