Abstract
220,859. A.M.A.C., Ltd., and Round, J. Nov. 24, 1923. Control mechanism.-Handle-bar Bowden-wire control mechanism of the rotatable grip type adapted to be readily applied to existing handle-bars, comprises a fixing-sleeve F to be clipped on the handle-bar H, a tubular member C sliding on the handle-bar and having a non- rotary and sliding engagement with the fixing-sleeve, as by means of a key E and key-way F<2>, a rotatable grip member A, B having a helical driving-connection B<2>, C<2> with the tubular member C, and a stop K<2> on a plug &c. K at the end of the handle-bar. The inner wire D of the Bowden transmission is connected to the tubular member C by a nipple D<2> engaging a key-hole slot, and the outer casing J engages a recess in an enlargement F<4> of the fixing- sleeve F, which is split at F<3> for attachment to the handle-bar by a bolt G. An inverted lever L of ordinary form may be mounted on the plug K.
