Abstract

220,690. Brownsdon, H. W., and Kynoch, Ltd. April 24, 1923. Vaporizing-apparatus.-An incandescent vapour burner comprises a preferably brass, vaporizing- tube 1 of circular cross-section at both ends but flattened in proximity to the mantles carried by depending burner tubes. A nipple 2 is screwed into the thickened upper end of the tube 1 and a reducing plug 3 for connection with a fuel reservoir, and a starting cup 4, are brazed to the lower end. The upper part of the tube 1 is packed with teased asbestos or other filtering material 5. Dimensions of the tube are given in the Provisional Specification.
